CHICAGO, IL [MW Diocese Communications] -- The children of Holy Trinity Cathedral's Church school presented their annual Christmas Yolka on Sunday, January 6, 2013 to the delight of their parish and immediate families.
This year, two of the older children served as narrators, telling the story of the Annunciation and Jesus' Nativity, while remaining members of the Church School responded to prompts in the story by singing traditional carols such as "Hark the Herald Angels Sing", "Away in a Manger", "What Child Is This?", and "There is Joy in Bethelehem." The children were even treated to a surprise visit by St. Nicholas!
We are forever grateful to our Church School Coordinator, Dr. Tina Richardson, for coordinating rehearsals, preparing costumes and directing the actual production. Bravo!
