The relics of the Holy Martyr Ignatius of Jableczna are encased in a special cavity in the Altar Table. Wax mastic is poured over the gold box containing the relics to seal them in the Altar. The wax mastic is made from bees wax, resin, myrrh and incense. It is a bonding and unifying agent representing the eternal bond between Christ and His martyrs—between Christ and all those who taken up their cross and followed Him.
