MILWAUKEE, WI [DOM] – The twelfth St Macrina Conference will have talks and discussions by experienced deacons, catechists and administrators on how we navigate the differences between the exalted theological understanding of our roles in the Church and the everyday difficulties that we encounter in normal Church life. How do we focus on the truths and the beauty of the Church without being dragged down by the less glorious realities of community life?
Students will have an opportunity to gather together in person and meet other members of their cohort or other student cohorts. There will be extended time for the diaconal practicum. Archbishop Daniel will be present to meet with students to discuss their ongoing work and potential petitions for ordination.
The conference will be held at Saints Cyril and Methodius Church, Milwaukee, WI. The conference fee of $125 covers instruction and meals on Friday evening and Saturday. Accommodations have to be booked separately. Payment will be made directly to the diocese, through contacting the Treasurer, Subdeacon Dimitri Pletz, directly at treasurer@domoca.org . Please register online at this google doc. Any questions can be directed to Fr Elijah Mueller at stmacrina@domoca.org .
