STOTS to Host Lecture on Former Rector, St Nicholai Velimirovich

SOUTH CANNAN, PA [DOM Communications] – On Tuesday, March 23, at 7:00 p.m. (EST), St. Tikhon’s Theological Seminary will be hosting the first annual seminar dedicated to the former Rector of the school, St Nicholai Velimirovich.

In a letter to alumni and supporters of the seminary, Archpriest John Parker, Seminary Dean, invited all to spread the word about this edifying event. “St Nicholai Velimirovich is the canonized rector of St Tikhon’s Seminary, who died in residence in the Seminary building in 1956.  Author of great spiritual treasures such as the Prologue of Ochrid, Prayers by the Lake, vast collections of sermons, and prayers such as ‘A Prayer for One’s Enemies’, St Nicholai became known as the Serbian Chrysostom.”

This seminar will be led by His Grace, the Right Reverend Irinej, Bishop of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Eastern America. His Grace wrote his Masters Thesis on St. Nicholai, and has given numerous papers and lectures on the beloved St Nicholai.

Those interested in participating in the lecture can do so by visiting www.youtube.stots.edu.
