BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, OH [DOM] – On Sunday, April 30, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Daniel, Archangel Michael Church in Broadview Heights, OH, welcomed His Grace Bishop Neophytes of of Nyeri and Mt Kenya visited.
The parish has had a long-standing relationship with His Grace as parishioners have gone to Kenya to do mission work and the parish has collected donations over the years to build an orphanage, purchase motorcycles for clergy to commute to village parishes, as well as purchasing clergy vestments, shoes, and clothing for children. At the conclusion of the liturgy, the Sunday School children presented His Grace with a ceremonial cardboard brick which contained $10,000 to lay the foundation for a diocesan center and home for Bishop Neophytes in Kenya.
