CHICAGO, IL [DOM] – The diocesan seminarians gathered for their annual summer retreat in Chicago on June 24 through June 26. The retreat coincided with the 20th anniversary celebration of the return of the Tikhvin Icon. The seminarians actively took part in the preparation for the feast, as well as many of the logistical aspects as well.
A group of seminarians from St. Tikhon’s Seminary arrived on Holy Spirit Monday, and participated in the Diocesan Cathedral’s Altar Feast. Throughout the days leading up to the event they were busy arranging the churches and halls, along with preparing the meal that was served Wednesday after the procession.
On Thursday morning, the final day of the retreat, the seminarians spent the morning with the Archbishop discussing life in the diocese and at seminary.
