LA CRESCENTA, CA [OCAMPR] – OCAMPR is pleased to announce the 2025 Fall Conference of the Orthodox Christian Association of Medicine, Psychology and Religion taking place at the University of St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, IL October 2-4, 2025. The conference theme this year is, “The Passions: The Theology & Science of Addictions and Compulsions.”

A new addition will be added to this year’s conference: a featured workshop designed exclusively for clergy titled “Trauma and the Passions: A Workshop for Confessors.” Clergy are asked what topic they feel they need more information about, and they agreed–TRAUMA. They see it in their parishioners and hear about it in confessions.
Tailored for both seasoned confessors and those newly embarking on this profound ministry, this workshop will offer a meaningful opportunity to enrich understanding and enhance pastoral care.
This workshop will be presented by OCAMPR’s Religion Chairperson, Fr. Sean Levine. He is a Lt Colonel in the US Army and has served as an Army Chaplain for 20+ years. Fr. Sean has literally been “in the trenches” with people suffering from trauma. Additionally, he has the educational background and pastoral experience as a parish priest to bring together what OCAMPR does so well–offer an interdisciplinary discussion of topics critical to pastoral care. All details about the conference, including the invited speakers, schedule and tickets can be found on our website at www.ocampr.org.
