Sixth Annual St. Macrina Conference to convene in Milwaukee August 9-10

MILWAUKEE, WI [MW Diocese Communications] — “No Longer Do I Call You Servants… But Friends: Friendship in Diakonia and Catechesis” will be the theme of the Sixth Annual Saint Macrina Conference, slated to be held at Saints Cyril and Methodius Church, Milwaukee, WI August 9-10, 2019.

Sixth Annual Saint Macrina Conference to convene in Milwaukee August 9 to 10The featured speaker will be Dr. Cristina Bucur, Ph.D., M.S.W., who’s focus will be “On the Gift of Friendship: Reflections and Gratitude.”  She will discuss how “diaconia” manifests friendship and consider ways we learn to minister to the lofty goal of attaining friendship with God and our neighbor in His Image.

Lodging will be available at Marquette University’s Humphrey Hall.
