CHICAGO, IL [DOM] – The Chicago Deanery gathered on Sunday evening, April 28, to begin Great and Holy Week serving Bridegroom Matins. The service was lead by His Eminence Archbishop Daniel of Chicago and the Midwest who was joined by local clergy.
Archbishop Daniel offer a sermon on Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week.
The tradition of gathering as a deanery at Holy Trinity Cathedral for Bridegroom Matins dates back almost fifty years. The beloved service brings together clergy and faithful around their hierarch to being the most sacred week of the liturgical year.
