MCHENERY, IL [DOM] – On Friday, December 19, the feast of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, His Eminence Archbishop Daniel, Archbishop of Chicago and the Diocese of the Midwest, made an archpastoral visit to St. Nicholas of Myra Church, McHenry, IL.
Archbishop Daniel was joined by Mitered Archpriest Volodymyr Kovalchuk, Rector, Mitered Archpriest Yaroslav Murgan, Priest Alexander Koranda, Priest Nikolai Lochmatow, Deacon Paul Garklavs, and Deacon Timothy Heinbokel.
Following the Divine Liturgy, a festive meal was held in the hall. During this time, the Church School held a drawing competition and sang carols for the feast. The Archbishop distributed gifts to the children that were gathered for the feast.
