SAN FRANCISCO, CA [DOM] – On Sunday, October 4, at the invitation of His Grace Bishop Vasily of San Francisco and the West, His Eminence Archbishop Daniel of Chicago and the Midwest presided over the Divine Liturgy at Holy Trinity Cathedral, San Francisco, CA.
Serving with the hierarchs were Archpriest Kirill Sokolov, Chancellor of the West, Priest Alexander Koranda, Cathedral Dean, Priest Andrew Smith, Diocesan Secretary. The Archbishop offered the sermon after the reading of the Gospel.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy the hierarchs greeted one another expressing their gratitude to God for the opportunity to be able to serve together. His Grace noted the the Diocese of the West and the Diocese of the Midwest have enjoyed good relations with one another which has been strengthened by Archbishop Daniel’s presence in the diocese for important occasions. Upon thanking His Grace, Archbishop Daniel reflected on the important and historical aspect of Diocesan Hierarchs serving with one another as a sign of unity in the Lord.
A festive meal was held in the cathedral hall at the conclusion of the Prayers of Thanksgiving.
His Eminence is in the West for the historic 100th anniversary of pilgrimage to Fort Ross.
