Archbishop Paul’s 40th Day Remembered throughout the Diocese

CHICAGO, IL [DOM] – His Grace Bishop Daniel of Santa Rosa, Locum Tenens of the Diocese of the Midwest presided over the memorial service marking Archbishop Paul’s 40th day of repose. This service took place Thursday afternoon, June 2 at the Diocesan Cathedral, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Chicago, IL. 

Bishop Daniel began the day with Divine Liturgy commemorating the great feast of Ascension, as previously reported. Following a reception in the parish hall, clergy and faithful arrived to remember their beloved hierarch, Archbishop Paul in prayer.

Concelebrating with His Grace was Priest Alexander Koranda, Cathedral Dean, Hieromonk Alexis (Lisenko), Archpriest Joseph Kopka, Archpriest Tarasiy Maxim, Priest John Segvich, Priest Philip Maikkula, Priest Nikolai Lochmatow, Protodeacon Thomas Keith, Deacon Paul Garklavs. The choir was directed by Reader Philp Sokolov.

When the service concluded, Bishop Daniel offered a reflection on Archbishop Paul and expressed his condolences to the family, who was present.

Services were held throughout the diocese in remembrance of late Archbishop. May his memory be eternal.
