AURORA, IL [DOM Communications] – The Diocese of the Midwest has planted a new mission in the Chicago Deanery, located in the city of Aurora, IL. The newly established mission will be under the direct care of the clergy of St Joseph Orthodox Church in Wheaton, IL.
Archpriest Joseph Kopka, Rector of St. Joseph Orthodox Church, reported that services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 3000 Liberty Street, in Aurora. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated there at 9:30 a.m. on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month.
The inaugural Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, August 14 at 930a. Orthodox Christians in the Aurora, Naperville, Oswego, Montgomery area are encouraged to attend and support this initiative.
