Bishop Daniel arrives in Baltimore for 20th All-American Council

BALTIMORE, MD [DOM] – Hierarchs, clergy and faithful from across the United States, Canada and Mexico began arriving in Baltimore, MD over the weekend of July 16-17, 2022 for the 20th All-American Council of the Orthodox Church in America that will be taking place this week. His Grace Bishop Daniel, Locum Tenens of the Diocese of the Midwest, arrived on Friday in preparation for the weeklong council.

On Saturday, July 16, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon arrived at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor where the council is to take place. His Beatitude was joyfully and warmly greeted by hierarchs, clergy, and faithful from across the Orthodox Church in America.

The next day, Sunday, July 17, the commemoration of the Fathers of the Six Ecumenical Councils, just prior to Divine Liturgy, Bishop Daniel performed the Office of Consecration of Holy Antimensia. These newly consecrated antimensia will be used for the military chaplains of the OCA.

The Divine Liturgy was led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon, Archbishop of Washington, Metropolitan of All America and Canada, Archbishop Nathaniel of the Romanian Episcopate, Archbishop Benjamin of San Francisco and the West, Archbishop Melchisedek of Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania, Archbishop Michael of New York and New York and New Jersey, Bishop Daniel of Santa Rosa, Administrator to the Diocese of the Midwest, and Bishop Gerasim of Fort Worth.

The Fellowship of Orthodox Christians of America’s 95th annual National Convention opened July 15.
