CAMPBELL, OH [DOM] – With the blessing of Archbishop Daniel, Archpriest Andrew Bartek, Rector of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Campbell, OH will be sworn in as city chaplain by Mayor Bryan Tedesco in early September. Later that month, Fr. Andrew will bless all Campbell first responders and their vehicles, followed by a luncheon provided by St. John the Baptist Church.
Prior to this, Fr. Andrew had briefly served as Chaplain to the Summit, IL Fire Department during his 3 years at St. Panteleimon Church there, and this past July 31, was invited back to speak at the retirement of Fire Department Chief Wayne Hanson and Deputy Chief Frank Batura. Chief Hanson served the Village of Summit for 9 years and DC Batura served for 57 years.
