PALOS HILLS, IL [DOM] – On October 18, the feast of the Apostle and Evangelist Luke was solemnly celebrated at the temple named in honor of the Evangelist, St. Luke the Evangelist Church, Palos Hills, IL.
Services were led by the Rector of the parish and Chancellor of the Diocese of the Midwest, Archpriest Paul Jannakos. He was joined by Hieromonk Alexis (Lisenko), Archpriest Daniel Doss, Priest Alexander Koranda, and Deacon Stephen Hansen. The choir was led by Protinica Michelle Jannakos.
Fr. Paul preached a sermon reflecting the life and works of the holy saint. At the end of the service, Fr. Paul welcomed the visiting clergy and faithful from the local area.
