DETROIT, MI [DOM] – On Tuesday, January 6th, the feast of our Lord’s Theophany, clergy and faithful from Holy Trinity Church, Detroit, MI, Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral, Detroit, MI, and Holy Transfiguration Church Livonia, MI, gathered for the annual blessing of the Detroit River. The Great Blessing of Waters was served by Priest Phillip Dage, Dean, Ss. Peter & Paul Cathedral, Priest John York, Rector, Holy Trinity, Priest Dimitrie Vincent, St. George Cathedral, and Dn. Lazarus DerGhazarian.
After the conclusion of the service, hot chocolate and refreshments were provided by members of St. Juliana of Lazarevo Ministry of Mercy, a ministry of Holy Trinity.
