Clergy Widows Retreat to be Held on Bright Saturday

CHICAGO, IL [DOM] – The Clergy Wives’ Advisory Group of the Orthodox Church in America, operating under the Office of Pastoral Life, is pleased to announce an online gathering organized especially for the widows of clergy.  On Bright Saturday, April 22, His Grace, Bishop John Abdalah of the Antiochian Archdiocese will lead the retreat.
Clergy widows have been included in all of the past retreats, but this is the first opportunity where an event will specifically address their unique roles, joys and challenges. “As our clergy widows have given so much of themselves to the Church, we, as a Church, must find the best ways to support them as well. We hope that this retreat is a positive first step.  We also need to get current contact information for many clergy widows” said Michelle Jannakos if the Clergy Wives Advisory Group.
Clergy widows who are interested in participating, please diocesan representatives, Matushka Miho Ealy pelagia1021@gmail.com or Michelle Jannakos michellejannakos@gmail.com.
