BURBANK, IL [DOM Communications] – On Monday, March 1, the administration of the Diocese of the Midwest gathered at the Chancery in Burbank, IL for the first meeting of the new year. It was noted that this was the first major meeting held at the Chancery since its relocation to the south suburbs a year ago.
The meeting was chaired by His Eminence Archbishop Paul, and attended by Archpriest Paul Jannakos, Diocesan Chancellor, Archpriest Herman Kincaid, Diocesan Secretary, Priest Alexander Koranda, Director of Communications, Reader Philip Sokolov, Secretary to the Archbishop, and Mr. Robert Koncel, Diocesan Treasurer.
The Archbishop opened with remarks of enthusiasm for the gathering; “I’m excited to have this first meeting of our diocesan staff. We have expanded our meetings to include the Secretary, Treasurer, and the Director of Communications of the Diocese to more efficiently accomplish the responsibilities that are before us.” Archbishop Paul continued in his remarks setting the vision for these meetings in carrying out the work of the Diocesan Council, and other activities in the life of the diocese.
Various topics were discussed included diocesan protocol, communication, and finances. The diocesan staff will meet every other month, and as the work of the diocese demands.
