CHICAGO, IL [DOM Communications] — Holy Trinity Cathedral — a vibrant and growing parish in the city of Chicago — is seeking the services of a choir director.
“Our liturgical life is at the very center of our parish life. By taking this seriously, we have witnessed continual growth through receiving converts and welcoming people throughout the city and suburbs,” said Priest Alexander Koranda, the Cathedral Dean.
The ideal candidate would be a degreed music professional with experience directing the All-night Vigil, Divine Liturgy, among the other divine services. He or she would be proficient at preparing the services, giving pitches, reading, singing, leading rehearsals, and conducting the choir. He or she would be able to commit to services outside of the weekend on a weekly basis. Since services are scheduled outside normal business hours, the individual would still be free to engage in full-time employment outside the church.
Those interested in the position, even if they only meet some of these qualifications, are invited to contact the Dean of the Cathedral, Father Alexander Koranda (ajkoranda@gmail.com).
