KANSASVILLE, WI [DOM] – December 27 – 30, 2022, the Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF) held its national college conference, in which the Diocese of the Midwest had a sizable presence. The annual conference brings Orthodox Christians who are college students together from all over the country.
The conference was held in two locations, Antiochian Village, Bolivar, PA, and St. Iakovos Retreat Center, Kansasville, WI. The theme of the conference was “Not of this World” in which the guest speakers covered an array of topics assisting participants with navigating their Orthodox faith in the modern world. One of the invited guest speakers was from the Diocese of the Midwest, Priest Alexander Koranda, Cathedral Dean of Holy Trinity Cathedral. “It was an honor to be a part of the conference,” Fr. Alexander commented. “It was inspiring to see a sold out conference in the Midwest with it’s young participants taking the faith so seriously.”
In addition to listening and interacting with the presentations, college students also attended services, visited a local monastery to venerate St. Mardarije of Libertyville, and other social activities.
OCF is the official collegiate campus ministry program under the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America.
