DOM Chancellor Leads Seminars in Romania

IASI, ROMANIA [DOM] – At the invitation of His Eminence Theophan, Metropolitan of Iasi, the Chancellor of the Diocese of the Midwest, Archpriest Paul Jannakos, took part in lectures and toured Northeastern Romania.

The Chancellor traveled May 5 through May 12 speaking at the Theological Faculty (Graduate Seminary) in Iasi, and also taught in many towns and villages throughout the regions of Moldova and Suceava. During this period he reached hundreds of faithful priests and laypersons. Fr. Paul also experienced the many famous monasteries in Northeast Romania, such as Shihastria, the home of Elder Cleopa, Neampt, where the relics of St. Paisi Velichkovski reside, and Sihla, the location of St. Theodora of Sihla holy relics.

“The highlight of his trip was the opportunity to speak to over 150 students at the theological faculty in Iasi on the topic of Orthodoxy Spirituality and Healing from Addictions,” reported Fr. Paul.
