CHICAGO, IL [DOM] – The Diocese of the Midwest is pleased to announce that a banquet will be held in honor of the enthronement of their Diocesan Hierarch, His Grace Bishop Daniel of Chicago and the Midwest.
As previously announced, the enthronement of the twelfth hierarch of the diocese will take place on the Feast of the Protection of the Mother of God, Friday, September 30, and Saturday, October 1 at the historic Diocesan Cathedral, Holy Trinity Cathedral in Chicago, Illinois.
On Friday evening, the All Night Vigil will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a standing reception following the service. Services will begin the following day at 9:00 a.m. with His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon and members of the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church in America concelebrating. Following the Divine Liturgy and the enthronement of Bishop Daniel, a festive banquet will be held.
The banquet will be held at Wildfire Chicago located at 159 West Erie St., only a few minutes from the cathedral. Tickets for the celebratory event are only $30 and can be purchased here. Those who plan on attending the banquet, must reserve a spot by Friday, September 16. Ticket will not be available after that period, or at the door.
