MEMO: Chancellor’s Office

MEMO

To all the Clergy, Faithful, and Monastics of the Diocese of the Midwest:

Following the sixty-first Diocesan Assembly, a Special Assembly was held in which the Diocese of the Midwest nominated Bishop Daniel to be elected by the Holy Synod. Following this, in a Special Session of its own, the Holy Synod elected Bishop Daniel, filling the vacancy.

At the Great Litany and the Litany of Fervent Supplication:

For our Metropolitan Tikhon, for our Bishop Daniel…

At the Great Entrance:

The Most Blessed Tikhon, Archbishop of Washington, Metropolitan of all America and Canada, and the Right Reverend Daniel, Bishop of Chicago and the Midwest, may the

Lord God remember in His kingdom, always, now and ever, and unto ages of ages.

At “Among the first:”

Among the first, remember, O Lord, our Metropolitan Tikhon and our Bishop Daniel. Grant them…

This is a most exciting time for the life of our diocese. May we all give thanks to the Lord that He has given us a Spiritual Father to continue to advance our love in Him, and to further the witness of the Apostolic Faith.

In Christ,
Archpriest Paul Jannakos
Chancellor
