OLMSTED FALLS, OH [DOM Communications] – Saint Innocent Orthodox Church in Olmsted Falls welcomed the local Fire Station on the feast of the Holy Prophet Elijah. During a brief service led by Priest Peter Simko, Acting Rector, and Protodeacon Michael Timko, intercessions were made for the health and safety of all emergency workers and civil servants in the local community. And in memory of Prophet Elijah’s ascent on a fiery chariot, the firemen and their two vehicles were blessed with holy water. The honored guests and parishioners of Saint Innocent shared a light breakfast inside following the service.
