MINNEAPOLIS, MN (MW Communications) – On a snowy St Nicholas Day, the annual St Mary’s Cathedral Advent Retreat brought together over 50 people for a series of talks by Fr Thomas Soroka, pastor of St Nicholas Church in McKees Rocks, PA. Following Matins, Divine Liturgy, and an enhanced coffee hour, Fr Thomas gave an inspiring presentation entitled The Goals of Christian Community. After lunch he spoke on the concept of Servant Leadership in Parish Life. This led to a lively discussion. Following confessions, Great Vespers, and a splendid potluck meal, he gave a presentation on the work of Ancient Faith Radio. We were especially pleased to have among our guests several members of the Minnesota Orthodox Prison Ministry, in which St Mary’s Cathedral actively participates.
