ST MARY’S CATHEDRAL TO HOST CONCERT OF GEORGIAN SACRED MUSIC

MINNEAPOLIS, MN [MW Communications] – St Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral in northeast Minneapolis will host a concert of Georgian sacred music by the Zedashe Ensemble during the group’s third US tour.
This fall tour is organized by the world music umbrella organization Village Harmony.
The concert will be held on Wednesday, September 29 at 7:30pm at St Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral, 1701 Fifth Street NE, Minneapolis, MN. Admission is $15.00, $10.00 for students and seniors.

Zedashe is a ten-person traditional folk ensemble hailing from Sighnaghi, Georgia. Their repertoire includes secular folk and liturgical music, often accompanied by traditional instruments and dances. Click here to view a brief documentary on the music group.
