RIVES JUNCTION, MI [MW Diocese Communications] — Orthodox Women in the Healing Ministries [OWHM] will hold its 20th annual retreat for women in the medical and healing professions at Holy Dormition Monastery here October 12-14, 2012.
Khouriya Frederica Mathewes-Green, author of Facing East and other popular books on Orthodox Christianity, will speak on the retreat theme, “Mary and the Early Christians.” While Friday evening’s lecture is open to women only, Saturday’s presentations are open to women and men from all walks of life.
OWHM’s annual retreat provides time for prayer, rest, and reflection, in addition to opportunities for networking.
