Chicago area Old Testament class begins December 1
CHICAGO, IL [MW Diocese Communications] — “The Old Testament: Law, Prophets and Writings” is the theme of a new course offered by the Diocese of the Midwest catechist and Diaconal Vocations Program.

Sessions will be held at Christ the Savior Church, Chicago, and Saint Makarios Mission, Hyde Park, from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. beginning Saturday, December 1, 2012. The course will give special emphasis to the Pentateuch, Deuteronomic History, the Prophets from the Neo-Assyrian, Neo-Babylonian, and Persian periods, and Psalms, Wisdom, and Daniel.

Matushka Rebecca Luft and Mr. Eric Jobe, Ph.D. candidates and biblical scholars, will teach the course, the second in the program cycle. New as well as ongoing students are welcome.
