Report details future of Hiram, OH’s Saint John the Theologian Monastery
HIRAM, OH [MW Diocese Communications] — In a written report issued the week after the annual Assembly of the Diocese of the Midwest on October 8, 2013, Archimandrite Alexander [Cutler] traces the transfer of the monastery to the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
With Father Alexander’s recent retirement and relocation, together with Monk Daniel, to a monastery in Ukraine, concerns for ongoing monastic life at the monastery had been a high priority. The report, which may be accessed here, explains the monastery’s new status and the intention of the brotherhood to continue to serve the faithful of northeastern Ohio and beyond.
