Chicago's 5th annual Sanctity of Life service, presentation Sunday, January 26ELMHURST, IL [MW Diocese Communications] — The 5th annual Chicago Pan-Orthodox Sanctity of Life Prayer Service and Presentation will be held at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 893 Church Road, Elmhurst, IL at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2014.

The annual gathering is organized by the Orthodox Christian Clergy Association of Greater Chicago and Orthodox Christians for Life.

Nicholas Hantel will offer the presentation, titled “The Mission Work of the Martha and Mary House.”  He is Vice-President of the Martha and Mary House, a pan-Orthodox maternity home opening in 2014 in Chicago’s western suburbs.  An attorney by profession, he serves as General Counsel to the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia while practicing Immigration Law as founder of Hantel Law, Ltd., a Chicago-based law firm.  He, his wife Katya, and their daughter Nadia attend Holy Virgin Protection Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Des Plaines, IL, where he also serves as a subdeacon.
