CHICAGO, IL [MW Diocese Communications] — Many Orthodox Christians joined over 4,000 marchers at the Tenth Annual March for Life Chicago on Sunday, January 18, 2015.

“The March and Orthodox Christian presence were deemed a big success,” said Priest Andrew Bartek, Acting Rector of Saint Panteleimon Church, Summit, IL and Spiritual Director of Orthodox Christian for Life-Chicago.  “Five times as many Orthodox priests joined His Grace, Bishop Paul of Chicago and the Midwest and His Grace, Bishop Anthony of the Toledo Diocese of the Antiochian Archdiocese and area parishioners speaking for the unborns’ right to life.

“The presence of Orthodox Christians at the March was significantly increased from previous years and it is hoped that next year’s March will see even more,” Father Andrew concluded.
