Bishop Paul encourages youth to attend 18th All-American Council

CHICAGO, IL [MW Diocese Communications] — In a memo to all rectors and priests-in-charge of the Diocese of the Midwest, dated Monday, April 6, 2015, His Grace, Bishop Paul, extended an invitation for all diocesan youth to participate in the youth activities that will be held during the 18th All-American Council in Atlanta, GA July 20-24, 2015.

“This year’s All-American Council in Atlanta will include a week-long youth program that will include education, activities, worship, and some fun,” said Bishop Paul.  “This is a wonderful opportunity for families to attend the event as delegates attend sessions. A flyer explaining the event and a schedule can be accessed by clicking here.  I heartily support this and ask those in the diocese to support this by enrolling their children in the program.  Perhaps this can be used as a family vacation!”

Adult volunteers and chaperones are also being sought for the week-long program, which is being coordinated by the Orthodox Church in America’s Department of Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry and the Department of Christian Education.  Priest Benjamin Tucci, Associate Pastor of Saint Mary Cathedral, Minneapolis, MN, is overseeing the program.
