Dr. Veniamin to deliver annual St. Alexis Lecture
MINNEAPOLIS, MN [MW Diocese Communications] — Dr. Christopher Veniamin, Professor of Patristics at Saint Tikhon’s Seminary, South Canaan, PA, will deliver the Sixth Annual Saint Alexis (Toth) Lecture at Saint Mary’s Cathedral, 1701 Fifth Street NE, Minneapolis, MN on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., following the celebration of Vespers.
Dr. Veniamin will speak on “The Orthodox Understanding of Salvation: Theosis in Saint Silouan the Athonite and Elder Sophrony of Essex.”
The annual event is held in memory of the cathedral’s founding pastor.
