Midwest clergy encouraged to participate in new Assembly of Bishops’ survey

CHICAGO, IL [MW Diocese Communications] — His Grace, Bishop Paul of Chicago and the Midwest encourages all parish clergy of the Diocese of the Midwest to participate in a new study on Orthodox parish life in America, conducted by the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America.

The study will be based on results gathered through an on-line survey, which clergy may access at www.hartfordinstitute.org/ParishLifeStudy.html.

The published survey results will provide a comprehensive picture of Orthodox parishes in 21st century America.  It explores various areas of parish life, including the involvement of youth and young adults, use of social media, and parish programs.

Questions and/or comments may be directed to the Assembly of Bishops’ Research Coordinator, Alexei D. Krindatch, at akrindatch@aol.com.

In recent years, the Assembly has conducted a variety of similar research studies on Orthodoxy in the US, the results of which may be found here.
