“The work of noted iconographer Father Theodore Jurewicz, the iconography includes the church’s iconostasis and interior walls,” said Father John.  “The blessing represents the realization of the dream of the His Eminence, the late Archbishop Job, to adorn the interior of the Bishop’s Chapel with traditional iconography.”

On Saturday, August 15, Great Vespers, followed by a wine and cheese reception, will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m.  The blessing of the iconography will follow the Divine Liturgy for the parish’s feast of the Holy Mandylion on Sunday, August 16 at 9:30 a.m.  A picnic will follow the church grounds.  Faithful from throughout the Chicago area are invited to participate in the celebration.
