Bishop Paul visits SS. Peter and Paul Church, Lakewood, OH
LAKEWOOD, OH [MW Diocese Communications] — Archpriest Yves Babich and the faithful of Saints Peter and Paul Church here welcomed His Grace, Bishop Paul on the weekend of November 7-8, 2015 as he made his first archpastoral visit to the parish.
On Saturday, Bishop Paul conducted a question and answer forum which was well attended by parish members and faithful from neighboring parishes.
“Bishop Paul covered a wide range of topics, from parish growth to the situation of the Orthodox Church worldwide,” said Father Yves. “The discussion was very lively, profitable and informative.”
A Panikhida for the parish’s departed veterans and Great Vespers followed.
On Sunday morning, Bishop Paul celebrated the Divine Liturgy, after which he blessed those who had celebrated birthdays during the preceding week. During the coffee hour that followed, another question and answer session on various faith issues was held.
“In all the visit by His Grace to our church was a memorial event,” said Father Yves. “Many commented how proud they were to call His Grace ‘our Bishop.’”
