MAPLE HEIGHTS, OH [MW Diocese Communica-tions] — Members of Saint Andrew Church here recently partnered with two local organizations — the Knights of Columbus and a boy scout troop — to host a fundraising dinner to aid local outreach programs and ministries.

“We are working hard with two other organizations in the area to reach out to the needy in our local community,” said Christine Hoover, Saint Andrew Parish Council President.  “This was a great event, and we were proud to have contributed.”

A total of $1,000.00 was raised to help Woman of Hope, Inc., an area organization selected as Saint Andrew Parish’s “charity of choice.”

“Women of Hope helps and supports homeless women veterans,” Christine explained.  “The organization recently purchased a home in our area and are working on fixing it up while seeking donations to house four women veterans who are homeless.”

On Saturday, June 18, the faithful hosted a “house warming” during which the $1,000.00 check was presented.

“We will continue to partner with the Knights and boy scouts in an ongoing effort to support this charity,” Christine added.
