SAINT JAMES, MO [MW Diocese Communications] — Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Mission here will be hosting its third annual fall retreat on Saturday, October 29, 2016.
The retreat theme — “Monks Amongst Us” — will be developed in two separate presentations by Hiermonk Alexii [Altschul] of Holy Archangel Michael and All Angels Skete, Weatherby, MO. Father Alexii will share insights into monasticism’s importance in the life of every Christian.
According to Priest Joel Wilson, “this is a free event offered to anyone who would like to attend — Orthodox Christian or not. It is offered at no cost, but we will take an offering for meals and an honorarium for Father Alexii.”
