Minutes of 55th Diocesan Assembly now available
LANSING, IL [MW Diocese Communications] — The 55th annual Assembly of the Diocese of the Midwest was held at Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church and hall here Tuesday, October 11, 2016.
Chaired by His Grace, Bishop Paul, the Assembly reviewed and passed revised Uniform Parish By-Laws conforming to the Statute of the Orthodox Church in America. Detailed informative presentations also were given with regard to the move toward percentage giving and background checks for parish youth workers and those who minister to and with children. Additional information from those presentations has now been posted on the Diocesan Website.
Approved minutes of the Diocesan Assembly are now available, as are minutes of the Diocesan Council meeting held on the eve of the Assembly.
