PaTRAM to sponsor Advanced Conducting Master Class in Chicago June 21-25

CHICAGO, IL [MW Diocese Communications] — The Patriarch Tikhon Russian-American Institute [PaTRAM] will hold an Advanced Conducting Master Class at Saint Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, 5649 North Sheridan Road, Chicago, IL from Wednesday, June 21 through Sunday, June 25.

The program will be conducted under the guidance of Dr. Peter Jermihov and Dr. Nicholas Reeves, both of whom are widely known in the field on liturgical music and conducting.

The class offers extensive podium time, intensive individualized instruction, and a professional chamber choir serving as the students’ practice instrument.  Selected students will be given the opportunity to direct the choir at two divine services.  The program will culminate in a celebration of a full All-Night Vigil and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy officiated by His Eminence, Archbishop Peter at Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral [ROCOR], Des Plaines, IL.
