Midwest Diocese’s summer camp programs begin July 1

CHICAGO, IL [MW Diocese Communications] — Final plans for the Midwest Diocese’s five summer camps are “in the works” as the 2017 camping season opens July 1.

Saint Vladimir’s Camp, Farmdale, OH, will welcome campers ages seven through 11 from July 2-8.  The Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America’s national Summer Sports Tournament for youth entering the fifth through 12th grades will be held July 9-15, while the program for campers ages 11 through 16 will be held July 16-22.  Camp directors are Deacon Daniel and Catrina Kovalak.  For information call 216-798-0815, send an e-mail to ohiodistrictcamp@cox.net, or visit the Saint Vladimir’s Camp web site.

The Chicago Deanery’s 31st Annual Summer Youth Camp for youth ages 12 through 18 will be held July 5-9 at the Edwards YMCA Camp, East Troy, WI.  Archpriest Thomas Mueller serves as camp director.  For information call 414-671-5819 or send an e-mail to crankypriest@gmail.com.
