St. Innocent Church, Olmsted Falls, OH to host retreat with Fr. Barnabas Powell

OLMSTED FALLS, OH [MW Diocese Communications] — Saint Innocent Church, 8526 Usher Road, Olmsted Falls, OH, will host a retreat titled “Inviting Our Neighbor into the Timeless Faith” on Friday and Saturday, September 15-16, 2017.

St Innocent Church Olmsted Falls OH to host retreat with Fr Barnabas PowellAccording to Priest Alessandro Margheritino, Rector of Saint Innocent Church, the guest speaker will be Priest Barnabas Powell of Saints Raphael, Nicholas and Irene Greek Orthodox Church, Cumming, GA.  A dynamic speaker and preacher, Father Barnabas is host of “Faith Encouraged Live” on Ancient Faith Radio and author of the “Faith Encouraged” podcast.  He is also the author of “A Faith Encouraged: A Devotional Guide to Being Orthodox on Purpose,” which will be available for purchase during the retreat.

The retreat will open at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15 with Father Barnabas’ opening talk, “A Former Pentecostal’s Journey to Orthodoxy.”  The second session — “Orthodox on Purpose” — will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16.  Following a complimentary lunch, Father Barnabas’ third talk — “Sharing Our Faith: An Opportunity We Can’t Miss” — will begin at 12:30 p.m.

The public is invited; there is no charge to attend, although free will offerings will be accepted with gratitude.
