Newspaper rates Marblehead, OH parish’s festival second in “Best of the Best” contest
MARBLEHEAD, OH [Holy Assumption Church] — During the week of September 17, 2018, Priest Andrew Bartek and the parishioners of Holy Assumption Church, Marblehead, OH were notified that the readers of The Beacon had nominated the parish’s Halupki Festival in the paper’s “2018 Best of the Best Festival and/or Event” contest. The Beacon is the local newspaper for Marblehead and all of Ottawa County, OH.
Begun in 2014, The Beacon’s “Best of the Best” contest asks readers to judge the top businesses and business professionals in Ottawa County in 35 categories that range from food and drink and general business excellence to entertainment and summer resort businesses.
The “Fifth Annual Best of the Best” Awards Banquet was held at the Camp Perry Convention Center, Port Clinton, OH on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. It was there that Father Andrew and 10 parishioners received the award for Second Place. Congratulations also to the Walleye Festival, which took First Place.
