Chicago Orthodox Synergy announces 25th Annual SymposiumCHICAGO, IL [MW Diocese Communications] — “When It Seems Like God Isn’t There: Our Struggle Between Faith and Doubt” will be the theme of Chicago Orthodox Synergy’s 25th Annual Symposium on Saturday, October 10, 2019.

Slated to be held at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Elmhurst, IL, the annual gathering will begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 2:00 p.m.  Featured speaker will be Steven Christoforou, Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.  He will offer two presentations — “The Key to Prayer: Getting Past the Hurdles and Encountering God” and “Why People Fall Away from the Church [and What They Need from Us Instead.”  A third session will consist of a question-and-answer session with Steven and an open forum.
