St. Vladimir’s Camp Receives Archbishop

FARMDALE, OH [DOM] – His Eminence Archbishop Daniel of Chicago and the Midwest visited St Vladimir’s Camp in Farmdale, Ohio, on June 29 and 30. The camp is an institution of the Diocese of the Midwest welcoming campers from the Cleveland Deanery and beyond. His Eminence, accompanied by Priest Esteban Vázquez, Diocesan Vice-Chancellor, was received by Archpriest John Memorich, priest-in-charge of the camp, and Priest Gabriel Bilas, serving priest for the week.

On Sunday, June 29, His Eminence arrived at camp in the late afternoon, where he enjoyed dinner with the campers, and visited the diocesan chapel on the grounds. On Monday, June 30, he joined the 71 campers and multiple volunteer staff for a prayerful Matins at the chapel and a lively breakfast, followed by two Q&A sessions with campers to get to know their archpastor. Before taking his leave, His Eminence blessed all present, assuring them of his prayers and support for this vital diocesan ministry.
