Servant Leadership in the Midst of Pandemic – A Study in Ephesians 4
A free 3-week Saturday morning webinar series
April 4, 11, and 25 8am PST / 11 am EST
Writing from his prison cell in Rome, the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Ephesians is applicable today, urging us to “Live a life worthy of the calling you have received,” and to remember that “Christ equips his people for works of service so that the Body of Christ may be built up.”
Fr. Marc Boulos and Dr. Richard Benton from the Bible as Literature Podcast will lead an online meeting series to learn and discuss Servant (Doulos) Leadership through St. Paul’s Epistle to the Ephesians, Saturday mornings April 4, 11, and 25 at 8am PST / 11 am EST.
St. Paul’s letter offers life-giving instruction for servants of Christ in these present times such as:
- “Bearing with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”
- “Speaking the truth in love.”
- “Putting off the old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires . . . and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
- “In your anger do not sin.”
- “Doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.”
- “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs.”
- “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
