CHICAGO, IL [DOM] – Memorial services for His Eminence Archbishop Paul will begin Tuesday, April 26, in Chicago at 6:00 P.M. and concluding on Wednesday, April 27, with the Hierarchical Liturgy at 9:00 A.M. A viewing will also be held from 11:30 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. that Tuesday.
DONATIONS – “His Eminence was very big on charitable work and moving those types of initiatives forward in the diocese,” reported Archpriest Paul Jannakos, Diocesan Chancellor. “In lieu of flowers, we are asking for parishes and donors to remember His Eminence by giving to the charitable ministry that was founded by Archbishop Paul, St. Maria of Paris Ministry.” Donations can be made in person at the service, or by clicking here.
PARKING – Holy Trinity Cathedral has limited parking on site, but alternative parking has been acquired from St. Mary Hospital across the street (entrance off Division). Parking can also be found locally in the neighborhood.
CLERGY – Clergy are invited and welcomed to serve at both the Tuesday evening service, and the Wednesday morning service. Those who are serving are asked to wear white vestments and to meet and vest in the lower level of the rectory building next to the cathedral.
REFRESHMENTS – Light refreshments will be on the main level of the rectory building next to the cathedral throughout the viewing.
CATHEDRAL HOURS – The cathedral will be open the entire time that the reposed is present. Clergy and faithful and welcomed and invited to pray and read psalms throughout the night.
