St. Andrew of Crete Music Ministry holds Choir Workshop in Madison, IL

MADISON, IL [DOM] – On Saturday, August 23, St. Andrew of Crete Music Ministry held a choir workshop at  Nativity of the Virgin Mary Church, Madison, IL. The workshop was lead by ministry chair, Archpriest Gregory Ealy.
The retreat was focused on the choirs specific needs of learning new music, and reviewing important singing techniques. “We had a wonderful day and found him to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Our members truly enjoyed the day and had many positive comments,” commented participant Lori Billy.
Another choir member stated, “it was a blessing to have Father Gregory join us for the weekend. Not only did he help us with the technical aspects of choir, he also reinvigorated our lives in the church by reminding us that when we sing we aren’t just singing but we are a part of heaven on earth and are a key role in the liturgical life. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn from Father Gregory, he taught us a great deal in a short time.”
