CHICAGO, IL [DOM] – On Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14, the Feast of the Exultation of the Life Giving Cross was celebrated by His Eminence Archbishop Daniel of Chicago and the Midwest at the Diocesan Cathedral, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Chicago, IL.
The All Night Vigil was served Saturday evening with the Rite of Elevation. On the following day, the Archbishop served the Divine Liturgy and offered the sermon. During his sermon, the Archbishop challenged the faithful, asking if Christians were truly living the life of the cross. The sermon conclude with calling all to bow down before the cross and worship our Lord’s resurrection.
Serving with His Eminence were Priest Alexander Koranda, Cathedral Dean, Archpriest Tarasiy Maxim, Deacon Timothy Heinbokel and Deacon Paul Garklavs. The Cathedral Choir was directed by Reader Vladimir Lymar.
